About us

Childcare as it's meant to be: attention you feel, quality you see, and a place where every child feels at home, every single day.

Oya's Childcare didn't emerge from a boardroom, but because one of the founders, Oya, who was not yet a mother herself in the late 1990s, was surprised to see her female colleagues working less and less or stopping altogether - not because they wanted to but because they had difficulty combining motherhood with a career. Oya spent years working in the corporate world, surrounded by deadlines, targets and high-performance teams.

And like many parents, she discovered something essential:
there was no place that truly felt the way she wanted for her own child.

Frauke - Lysbeth - Oya

A place where children aren't just looked after, but where child development is central.

Where music and creativity are part of daily life. Where professionals have the space to truly see a child. Where quality is not a luxury, but a natural part of good care.

So Oya combined her vision with the operational strength of Frauke, with whom she had worked in the corporate world since 2004, and with the pedagogical expertise of Lysbeth, a friend from the very beginning. Together they created what couldn't be found anywhere else: a high-quality, modern childcare where quality always comes first.

The foundation:
no compromises, ever

Because we are not in the hands of private equity and are privately financed, with no creditors, we can continue to invest in what matters: people, materials and environments that contribute to calm, safety and development.

Our promise is clear:

We say yes to everything that contributes to the wellbeing of children and the quality we promise.

The founders and our management team are present at the locations every day. No distance. No ivory tower. We are involved in every space, every detail and every experience, so that we can continue to guarantee what we promise: outstanding childcare with exceptional attention.

The people who make it happen

Our nannies are much more than professionals.
They are people who see children for who they are: small worlds full of curiosity, character and potential.

Selection
We select for warmth, craftsmanship and a loving focus on development.
For children from 2 months to 6 years, we create save, bright and playful environments where every child is seen.

Safety and hygiene
These are not policy words, but daily habits.
Our locations are maintained by a dedicated housekeeping team, allowing our nannies to keep their full attention on the children. Separate spaces for care and feeding, and a thoughtful layout help keep health risks to a minimum.

A place that breathes: light, calm and space

Our four childcare locations and after-school care in Amsterdam are designed as second homes, each with the same distinctive Oya's Childcare signature.

We have created groups with:
• separate changing rooms
• a pantry
• spacious play areas and separate bedrooms
• safety glass for visibility and transparency
• natural colours and materials that bring calm

And outside?
Spacious, well-secured playgrounds where children can move freely under the supervision of our nannies.

Wherever you walk in, whichever Oya's Childcare location you visit, you feel the same warmth, care and quality.

For parents.
For children.
For professionals.

Those who work with us choose an environment where quality is the standard and attention is the norm. Those who bring their child to us choose peace of mind, trust and unhurried care. And those who walk through our doors feel it immediately: this is different.

Welcome to Oya's Childcare.
Here, children grow. And so do people.
